RHA Committees

The Residence Hall Association (RHA) recruits committee members for the year. Committee members are expected to be enthusiastic and hardworking individuals who are ready to bring the fun to Campus Housing.

The committee members will gain valuable experience working with a team, learn the nuts and bolts of event planning, be a part of exciting programs, and gain new friends in the process.

Committee members can expect to spend approximately 5 hours a week on planning programs/events and work with their committee leader.

Committees you can join:

  • Public Relations Committee
    • Committee members will help coordinate, design, and implement marketing materials for large programming and events within RHA.
    • Will represent the student voice during special Campus Housing meetings.
    • Committee will work primarily with the Vice President of Public Relations within RHA.
  • Advocacy Committee
    • Committee members will collect information from residents and issues within the residence halls to present to the VP of Advocacy during general body meetings.
    • Will aid in determining implementation of new protocols to better serve the needs of residents.
    • Committee will work primarily with the Vice President of Advocacy within RHA.
  • Programming Committee
    • Committee members will help coordinate, plan, and support large programming efforts put on by RHA. Example events include: Fall Ball, Winter Fest, Sex in the Dark, etc.
    • Committee members would receive priority status in registering for events.
    • Committee will work primarily with the Vice Presidents of Programming within RHA.
